MEET THE FOUNDER
Hi, I'm Katie D. Higley
Mom | Creative Founder | Music Maker | Kingdom Builder
Music has been my heartbeat since I was six months old, humming "Silent Night." By age two I was performing from a Reader's Digest in the bathroom, hairbrush in hand. That spark never left.
Over the years that spark grew into a career — as a two-time Hollywood Week contestant on American Idol, a TEDx speaker, and a professional artist development coach for over 17 years. I've helped hundreds of people find their voice, composed music for ABC, and written over 30 training musicals performed worldwide.
But as much as I love professional artistry, my deepest joy has always been in the community — watching someone discover a gift they didn't know they had, seeing a shy kid light up on stage, a grandma picking up a ukulele for the first time. That's what led me to create The HeART Collective.
I'm also the happy wife of Jeremy Higley and mom to our four wonderful homeschooled children — Emmitt, Riley, Bailey, and Noah. They are my greatest creative collaborators and my biggest joy.

We believe every person — no matter their age, background, or experience — has creative gifts worth discovering. Our teachers are members of this very community, sharing what they love with those around them. That's what makes this place different. It's not just a school. It's a collective.
